Recruiting Methodology
Effective recruiting is the cornerstone of GillTek’s success. The GillTek hiring process is thorough and demanding; this has resulted in GillTek being recognized for having exceptional employees. Rigid hiring standards are maintained that require the applicant be screened for both oral and written skills, as well as a detailed technical interview.
GillTek's growth and customer satisfaction is dependent upon the quality of our staff. Attracting, hiring and retaining highly skilled and highly motivated candidates is key to our growth. GillTek's screening process consists of the following:

| The first step in GillTek's evaluation and screening process is to meet with one of our experienced systems recruiters. Our recruiters evaluate the candidate’s systems background, desired career goals, immediate project goals, interpersonal communication skills and attitude. Once the recruiter has evaluated these criteria and articulated our client's goals and objectives, a decision is made on whether to pursue the given candidate. If there is a match, the candidate is tested. |

Our technical evaluation process uses a variety of methods to help evaluate the technical competency of our consultants. Some of the tools we use in evaluating candidates are:
Personal Technical Interview
This is a face-to-face or over the phone technical interview with one of GillTek's existing consultants who possess technical expertise and proficiency with a particular technology. It is a standardized program where our technical evaluators are trained to interview and evaluate candidate skills. This interview also allows candidates to meet with consultants working in the field and as a result, the candidates get a better idea of GillTek and its people. GillTek has great confidence in our personal technical interview and we have found the results to be mutually beneficial to our clients and GillTek.
Technical Test
GillTek utilizes an external service for various tests from concepts and principles through design and analysis to application development and hands-on techniques. Developed by educators and experts in the field, this service enables GillTek to perform comprehensive, technical evaluations on a wide-range of technical disciplines. After completion of the technical interview, a series of reports profiling the candidate's strengths and weaknesses is generated. Because the results are completely objective, all individuals are treated equally.
Reference Checks
At least two, and generally more, professional references are checked on candidates. Additional background checks are done on a case-by-case basis.
Drug Testing
GillTek believes strongly in a drug-free work environment. Currently GillTek offers a drug screening program, which complies with the standard NITA five panel drug screening.
Follow up and Communication
GillTek understands that we face a competitive labor market. Communication is often the critical factor to being successful. Whether we are staying in touch with a client manager about the status of our search or keeping a consultant up to date regarding the status of an opportunity, our Account Executives & Recruiters stay in touch with all parties concerned. Setting realistic expectations and then living up to them is the best way to serve our clients & candidates.
